Total FFL's: 80,485 New: 806 Phone/Address Update: 1,969 Unchanged: 77,711 Explore the data on our interactive dashboard. https://apb360.com/ffl-business-development-system/dashboard/ This month continues to hold above 80k licensees nationwide.
We recently invented a new method for our users to audit single serialized assets. Our prior method of generating a checklist was having a hard time scaling up on hardware limited tablets, so we came up with something better for everyone, no matter your inventory level! Play the short video on the left to see it in action at POF-USA. Essentially teams of two people will collaborate, where one member will call out the item, and the other will search it out in realt-time on the tablet, and then mark the asset present. You can even take a picture of the asset, and further identify which active location it might be in (like a shelf, or safe). Each time an asset is recorded, the system will update the inventory report, giving you a quick update on total assets and how many are left to mark present. When the list approaches zero, you can use the "Generate Inventory Checklist" again to report on which items need further investigation. If you are allowing geo-location services, you will also record the latitude and longitude of the asset for a last known position!
New Feature: The ability to create asset packages, a compilation of assets in a recipe, which is then assigned to an employee or location. This feature makes issuing equipment for a new hire, or training, deployment kits, annual equipment replacement, etc., very consistent and fast! Each asset package is configured for item quantities and the stocking location to pull from, as well as expiration dates. Issue duty ammunition, holsters, flashlights, chemical spray, knifes, electronics and more with a single operation.
All training performance reports now have a new link within them, "View Certificate" and or "Download Certificate". The link will provide a high resolution transparent PNG image file for you to print on quality paper. Each certificate has a unique watermark allowing you to access the certificate again online forever, however you must be authenticated to receive the file.
One of the most significant updates in 2017 provides phenomenal inventory asset management capabilities, using your iOS device as an enterprise scanner. You only need to download our GunTRAC iOS application for iPad's and iPhone's (free) and then authenticate. You can easily consume an item, move it between locations, and much more. Many items come with a manufacturer barcode already marked on the item. For this example we are using a mechanical keyboard, where the back of the asset has a barcode already in place. Our application is capable of scanning just about any barcode and in any nearly light condition, even white on black. Select "Manage Inventory by Barcode" on the iOS application interface, and scan the item's barcode. APB360 (formerly GunTRAC) will check if this is a known asset or not, and guide you through the process of creating an asset for the first time. If the barcode value is a known to represent an asset, a thorough list of management options will become available. Know how many of an asset you have on hand by location or assigned to employees in the palm of your hand. You can even share barcode values across your enterprise, the system

Download High Resolution Image Over the weekend we processed every FFL we have on record (over 130k since 2014) in an effort to provide our call center and enterprise manufacturing users the ability to refine leads based upon the address type. The new filters are available on the Cold Calling map now! The image on the left provides a sense of industry growth over the last few years, as well as the ratio of business to residential addresses.
The overall amount of licensees saw a decline in America for April 2017, however a considerable amount of NEW applications have been granted. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) provided 79,982 records to the public via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). APB360 has processed the results for our call center users and enterprise manufacturing partners. The firearm market may be slow for many in the industry right now, however the data provided through the APB system is designed to empower firearm industry professionals. Our call center solution is the most dynamic and specialized in the firearm industry, by orders of magnitude. Enjoy the latest data set release, only hours since the BATFE made the public release.

You may find yourself in one of those states where another flavor of firearm classification might exist, demanding another reporting level. Thanks to our enterprise California users, they have helped guide us toward a solution that should work well globally for all FFL manufacturers. We decided to test our new abstract type of asset conversion by converting a grenade launcher into an extra large pizza. This is not a BATFE logbook transaction, this is 100% supplemental and proprietary to APB360 and not an FFL regulation control. The process is similar to managing active location information for assets, and scales to the millions. Simply build a list of assets which are "on premises," guided by APB360, and either select or create a brand new private custom supplemental asset type. Enter anything like "Dangerous Weapon" or even "Pizza." Submit your update, APB360 will record when it occurred and keep a permanent record. Easily review the supplemental type updates by time by tracing the asset.
Enterprise Manufacturers and Public Service system users now have the ability to extend the learning module management system to include internal budgeting on a per module, per enrollment record and establish an annual budget figure. Updating existing modules for budgeting figures is simple and adjusting the figures is just as easy. Instantly view your entire organization's training budget, on a per learning module basis, and make adjustments any time! We will be adding fiscal year settings soon, and you will be able to compare year over year instantly.

Geofencing is the art of creating territories and boundaries while identifying one or more contact record assignments. Create any level of complex polygon using our mapping/drawing tool, give it a name, and then assign the shape/territory to a contact record. Once you've assigned/created the relationship between a shape (geofence) and a contact record, the CRM interface will provide a simple button to click, which will send the contact details to your designated rep. Drawing a geofence is simple, and there are no limits on how many you can create. Additionally there are no limits to the number of contacts you can create and assign to a geofence. A button to SMS text message your contact with a pre-formatted message will exist for every contact assigned to a fence, when the lead marker coordinate is within or on the border or vertex of the polygonal geofence. This powerful tool relies on your Twilio account integration, in order to better serve your enterprise or cloud call center account, be sure to follow the getting started instructions.
Just in time for that year-end massive inventory audit! The iOS companion application now can scan any barcoded item (thousands at a time) and mark the item accounted for. In addition, the item scanned is recorded by scanning location (so long as GPS is enabled), the user/operator and timestamp. In addition to using the mobile scanner, all you need to do to manage the inventory audit process further is run the Inventory Checklist function available on the .com website version. This report has several new switches available now, enabling the auditing mode as well as reporting on what has, has not, or either status, allowing you to quickly drill down your inventory for assets which have not been accounted for. You can clear the status of an item using the .com report at any time, or simply update the status. An additional filter appears on the report enabling you to quickly jump to any matching serial number in the database. This is of course very useful when you have thousands of assets on premises!Enterprise users can now create custom travelers, and assign them to specific users. You can easily update and modify existing travelers and enable or disable steps
Managers can now quickly search and identify outstanding calls, and unrated or poorly rated recordings. This provides a great way to compile training materials for new call center operators as well as finely tune existing operators.
Thanks to LE feedback, an overall condition status has been added to all weapon inspection forms. This includes weapon inspections during a firearm rapid check in and assignment as well as annual employee inventory inspection functionality. The inspection report available to master users visually reflects the overall status of an inspection using color coding and iconography. Users can quickly identify problematic assets in short time, even if there are thousands of them. In addition, during a rapid check in process, all serial numbers are verified to be new, or never seen, before the chain of custody is created. This ensures that firearms, during this unique process, are in fact never before seen in the GunTRAC operator account, and the correct acquisition and disposition record keeping is sound to the employee. The rapid Weapon Assignment and Inspection system is intended only for first time users gathering asset information from employees, typically during annual qualifications. Once an asset has been collected into the database, there is a different preferred method for weapon assignment or turn in. If you have any question feel free to comment below or contact your account representative. This is the version 126.96.36.199 Dec 2016 update.
New functionality has been released to enhance several employment/roster reporting features. Law Enforcement Quick ability to see if an employee has NEVER had any quals on record. This will quickly provide training sergeants and others to identify scheduling needs. See the new Roster Report to experience this update. Calendar Scheduling - Coming Very Soon (this is in production for call centers now)

New functionality has been introduced to provide advanced RMA/Repair email notification routing rules. System users can now configure a specific email address to specific RMA Repair status scenarios: Refund, Repair and Replace. Additionally, specific emails can be configured for All Status Updates and Call Tag Requested. Seamlessly communicate with your customers as gunsmithing tickets are managed in the repair/rma queue. The image below will help you visualize the flow of a variety of RMA circumstances.
Master operator accounts can now add and remove user permissions, including granting the Master Operator privileges. Most importantly, the "Retire" account status has been added as well. This functionality is available from the Employee/Operator Roster Report.
Enterprise users now have a token based public/private integrated RMA/RETURN/Warranty system in place. This is a great feature for armories, gunsmiths and research facilities alike. See the main settings area for configuring email routing, alerts, and website link integration options available from version 1.2.92+ This system can be managed from within the A&D logbook action center, the public link interface, a private ticket creation interface as well as the RMA/Repair dashboard. If you make a product, GunTRAC can help you resolve any customer issues, in a very configurable way. If a ticket or work order status changes, notify the customer by email or even SMS (coming) when an update occurs.
Users may now filter logbook reports by Disposition State (Geography). This is helpful in identifying risk levels associated with restrictive legislative actions planned or scheduled by certain states such as California for example. Compliance officers may choose one or more states while using this filter, along with any number of other meta data vectors already available. *Data that has been imported into the system from your legacy A&D logbook system may not be filterable.
Updated code has been released to handle file uploading utilizing the Amazon S3 Transfer Acceleration features now available for S3 storage. Some file sizes are significant depending on what was is either uploaded to GunTRAC or what is generated by the logbook engine. In some cases, gigabytes. The act of encrypting and transferring data to S3 services in large file cases causes considerable delays with large A&D transactions, in many cases we are seeing a 300% increase in transfer speed for permanent storage. Transfer Acceleration takes advantage of Amazon CloudFront’s globally distributed edge locations. As the data arrives at an edge location, data is routed to Amazon S3 over an optimized network path. In addition, we have implemented a redundant process for uploading to backup edges from the primary cluster. It is our intention to accelerate the file upload process as well as provide a more robust and reliable system.
The FFL Mapping Business Development system has been updated to include the complete listing from BATFE FOIA released licensee information as of June 2016. 62 FFL Records failed to map via reverse geocoding services by Google. These records will be manually researched as to why. There are 959 new or updated FFL’s for the month of June, 2016. Hawaii had no changes to it’s few 124 FFL holders. Rhode Island, unchanged as well, remains the lowest count of FFL holders in the nation, sitting at 110. We are looking forward to a timely released July listing, with the hope there will be an upward trend of licensed holders. See more details on the interactive industry report, publicly available at FFL Licensee Report June 2016.
It's never been more critical for manufacturers to be tactical, with records and compliance (TRAC). It's difficult and time consuming to plan for ruling updates when there is rarely a timeline or clear set of expectations available; being agile, bobbing and weaving is GunTRAC's most remarkable attribute.

There was a minor increase in licensed FFL’s in January 2016 compared to December of 2015. November’s database was 78,867 records, slightly lower than January’s database of 78,880. For some bizarre reason, not a single new/renewed FFL license was issued for the following state: Vermont Anyone want to take a stab at a reason? We will keep an eye out next month for a potentially high number, or a bizzaro low one. We are looking forward to a timely released February listing, with the hope there will be an upward trend of licensed holders.

Many system changes have been made since the inception of GunTRAC over a year ago. The development roadmap has changed considerably over the last couple of months in preparation for public release. Much of the February development roadmap is complete, however we only wanted to release what we feel is immediately useful for firearms dealers and sales people.
